The following demonstrates how to create a 16x16 pixel ICON image. The source image can be any size (does not even need to be square):&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 convert /usr/share/pixmaps/fedorausb.png -thumbnail 16x16 -background transparent \&lt;br /&gt;
   -gravity center -extent 16x16 fedorausb-16x16.png;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
While this works as a good starting point, you may want to &amp;#039;&amp;#039;tweak&amp;#039;&amp;#039; the resulting image.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
