Overview

The NST WUI is now touch device friendly. The Apple iPad has been tested and works well with the NST WUI including integrated gesture support. Given the relatively large display size, form factor and weight of the iPad, it is really the first practical touch device that can be used by a network computing engineer or a security network administrator to perform operational NST WUI tasks. Other smaller size touch devices like the Apple iPod touch, Apple iPhone or an Android smart phone also work but are hard to visually navigate through the NST WUI.

Recommended Browsers & Settings

Apple iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad

Safari Mobile

The default browser for the Apple touch device family line is Safari Mobile. The latest version: "IOS 5" supports tab browsing which works nicely with NST. It also has a JavaScript debug console.

iCab Mobile

The recommended browser for using NST on an Apple touch device family line is the iCab Mobile browser. It supports full screen browsing thus maximizing the viewport display area giving the illusion of an natively installed application (app).
